Inspiration for running

inspirationWe all sometimes need some inspiration for running. Well, not all, but most of us. I know some people that enjoy running so much, they spend most of their off-work hours doing exactly that – running. (Does 1000km per month sounds too much to you?). Personally, I also love running, but sometimes it goes under the radar. Some other interests, hobbies or work 🙁 get a bigger amount of time in your daily schedule and before you know it – you’re not running any more…

When I’m in my low-running phase, I need some inspiration to start again. People are motivated in different ways. For some is enough to read some running inspirational quote, watch some short running clip or be invited to a group run. For me, the inspiration is usually some long race that I’d really like to do. It can be something like 100 Miles of Istria or some underground race across Velebit, it doesn’t matter.

I met a friend who hasn’t run for 16 months, and he was pretty fast some year ago. The trigger for him (or sign? :)) was a broken jar of Lino lada (something like Nutella). He runs again, and we’ll definitely be seeing more of him. See you on Velebit next year…

My trigger was/is a new running backpack I bought yesterday. I’ve spent most of the evening wearing it, checking how it fits under different loads, what to put where… And now I just WANNA go running again! So thank you Decathlon for opening your store in Zagreb and giving me a little push into something that I already know I love…

See you in the forest… 🙂

P.S. Book in the photo is The Swashbuckler’s Guide to Running Away from Dinosaurs, a really nice little book with funny and inspirational stories and quotes…
